Joy is not something to delay; it’s a choice made now. Many wait for perfect conditions to enjoy life, but God designed joy for the present. Knowing your identity in Christ reveals joy as part of your spiritual nature, not a reward for good circumstances.
Paul & Silas were in prison, beaten, chained, and unjustly locked away, yet at midnight, they prayed and sang praises to God (Acts 16). Instead of complaining, they enjoyed God’s presence there. Their joy activated supernatural power; chains broke, doors opened, and lives changed. Their attitude changed first, not the situation.
As a teenager, it’s easy to think happiness comes later, after school, success, or easier times. But God wants you to enjoy life now. You can laugh, dream, grow, and worship in every season. Joy keeps your heart light and spirit strong, no matter what. Life is happening now. Choose to enjoy God’s gift today.
