Temperance is self control, and it is a mark of spiritual maturity. Temperance does not mean suppressing emotions or desires; it means allowing the Holy Spirit to guide your choices rather than impulses. When you have temperance, you live intentionally and powerfully.

Daniel, as a young man taken into Babylon, was offered the king’s food and lifestyle. Instead of giving in to pressure, Daniel chose discipline and obedience to God. His temperance set him apart and positioned him for divine favour. Because Daniel exercised self control, God released wisdom, excellence, and supernatural promotion into his life.

As a teenager, you face daily temptations like peer pressure, anger, distraction, and unhealthy habits. Temperance helps you say “no” to what weakens you and “yes” to what strengthens your spirit. It keeps your focus sharp and your heart aligned with God’s purpose. Self control is not a limitation; it is freedom to live at your best. When you practice temperance, you build character that can carry God’s blessings.

Prayer Point

Lord, strengthen me with self control through Your Spirit. Help me make choices that honour You and protect my future. Amen.

Prophetic Declaration

“I have temperance through the Holy Spirit. I am disciplined, focused, and led by God’s wisdom. My life reflects maturity and excellence in Jesus mighty name.”

I come to You in the Name of Jesus Christ.
I believe with all my heart in Jesus Christ, Son of the living God.
I believe He died for me and God raised Him from the dead.
I believe He’s alive today.
I confess with my mouth that Jesus Christ is the Lord of my life from this day. Through Him and in His Name, I have eternal life; I’m born again.
Thank you Lord, for saving my soul! I’m now a child of God.
Hallelujah!
