Pride is one of the things that God hates. As a born again Christian you want to make sure you stay away from operating in pride. Pride will have you think that you know everything and that you can do no wrong. This is very dangerous. When you get into any conflict or argument know that pride is at the root.

Wisdom is the only solution when there is contention. It is not worth getting into a shouting match with anyone. Humbling yourself seems like the hardest thing to do but know that you are glorifying God when you operate in humility. Be the one who will de-escalate any situation because you have the wisdom of God.
