Despite significant progress in spreading the truth about who Christians are in Christ and the spiritual privileges they share as children of God, many still find themselves struggling, unwell, or burdened by the weight of their circumstances. This raises an important question: Why do some appear to experience the richness of life in Christ more fully than others?
In today’s verse, Jacob comes to the realisation that the Lord was present, yet he had not recognised it. It was only when he awoke that he became aware. God’s presence is not absent, but it is often unrecognised. As long as you are not spiritually attentive, you will never experience the fullness of all God has promised you in His Word. Growth in the Christian life involves learning to recognise His presence and His voice through spending time in His Word.
