You may be shocked to know that while the phrase “blind as a bat” is common, the idea that bats cannot see is a myth. All bats can see. However, their strength lies in echolocation, a biological sonar system that allows them to “see” with sound. They emit high-frequency calls that bounce off objects and return as echoes, which their brains interpret to determine shape, distance, and even texture.
As Christians, our echolocation is the Word of God. The Word is clear: your imaginative ability is your creative ability. Before Jericho was given into Joshua’s hand, he had to see it first. To possess all He desires for you, you must first visualise those realities. Hear the sound of God’s Word and begin to see all He has freely given you.
