If you have ever given a child the freedom to choose as many sweets as they want in a supermarket, you might notice something interesting. Being accustomed to limits, they are unsure how much they are truly allowed to take. So the child hesitates and chooses less than expected.
Although you have a new life in Christ, you must take deliberate steps to break free from the mindset you once lived by. Many Christians fail to walk in the fullness of what God has provided because they still operate within the limits they learned from the world. You have been given an abundant life, but if your thinking remains restricted, your experience will be also. The world conditions you to expect less, but Christ has called you to take hold of all He has made available to you.
