Many Christians think that becoming a new person in Christ means you must clean yourself up, strive harder to please God, and not make a single mistake. This mentality leaves many frustrated in their walk because it’s not the truth. The truth is that we’re not called to muster up new life using our own strength. That’s the Holy Spirit’s job.
Today’s verse reminds you that Christ lives in you, and His Spirit alone transforms you from the inside out. So, quit trying to force change on your own. Instead, let the Holy Spirit induce change from within. No matter how hard you think it’ll be for you to change, let God perform the alien task.
