There’s a book titled Dead Doctors Don’t Lie. The concept is simple: you can learn a lot from what has already died. According to Scripture, the old you was crucified with Christ, the “you” shaped by shame, fear, failure and limitation is dead.
Dead men don’t argue with the truth. They don’t complain or contradict what God says. As a Christian, you no longer live by your biology but by the life of Christ. So, as a new creation being, there are things you must never lie to yourself about again. Never say you’re rejected when you’re accepted in the Beloved. Refuse to call yourself powerless when the Spirit of God lives in you. Never speak lack when all things are yours. Let your words agree with your crucifixion and resurrection.
