God cares deeply about who you allow into your life because influence shapes direction. Not everyone who calls you a friend is meant to walk with you. Some people may enjoy your company but do not share your values, faith, or vision for the future, and that matters.
The Bible warns us not to be misled because influence often works quietly. You don’t have to make obviously wrong choices for your character to change; simply being around the wrong voices can slowly weaken your confidence, faith, and discipline. The people you listen to will either draw you closer to God’s purpose or pull you away from it.
God has placed greatness inside you, and your friendships should protect that greatness, not destroy it. Choose friends who encourage your faith, respect your values, and help you grow. You don’t need many friends, just the right ones. When you honour God in your friendships, He surrounds you with people who strengthen and sharpen you.
