God isn’t angry with you nor does He have a logbook of your wrongdoings. He’s your loving, heavenly Father and through Jesus Christ, you’ve come home to Him (the Father). The death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ have brought you into harmonious union with God.
It’s like migrating to a new country, you’d be granted access into such a country and regarded as a legal immigrant only after you’ve acquired the right visa. Ephesians 2:13 (NIV) says, “But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away has been brought near by the blood of Christ.” You have been granted access to God to relate with Him as your Father, without fear.
Don’t be afraid that one day God may remember all the wrong things you’ve done and punish you as a result. You’re in God’s divine presence, at peace and in fellowship with the Father. This should be your consciousness when you worship the Lord in prayer. You have been justified and now at peace with the Father who delights in you.
