We are created in the image and likeness of God. That means we resemble not only His nature, but also His manner of working. Isaiah tells us that the Lord does His strange work and His alien task. If God’s works are strange and alien, as those made in His image, ours should be too.
Winning souls to prepare them to leave this planet is strange work. Planning for eternity while the world chases time is an alien task. Sowing into the Kingdom so that nations can be won in a day is strange.
You carry the DNA of God whose ways interrupt norms and defy precedent. When your obedience looks unusual, or when your assignment feels out of step with the world, remember this is who you are. You were designed for work that cannot be explained without God.
