Today’s scripture records a battle where more enemies died from hailstones sent by God than by Israel’s swords. The outcome was not the result of the mighty men’s superior skill, strategy, or strength, but of divine intervention.
There are moments when God does not want to merely give power to fight. He wants it known that He Himself entered the conflict as the combatant. It’s an alien task. This year, God wants it unmistakably clear that victory is not achieved by your effort. The battle is no longer delegated; God is fighting directly for you so that no flesh can take credit.
In this season, do not measure victory by how much effort you expend. Watch for the hand of God doing what only He can do in ways that leave no doubt that He alone secured the outcome.
