This verse should be one of the most controversial in Scripture, but it isn’t, because many Christians refuse to accept the glorious possibilities it reveals. Immortality is not only for heaven; it is for now. And the reason is clear: Christ abolished death.
In our Kingdom, death has been abolished. The word is katargéō in Greek, which means it was rendered entirely useless, unemployed, inactive and inoperative. Hallelujah! Death has been stripped of its force, power, and influence. It should never be employed, active, or operative in a Christian’s life. It is illegal!
Dare to walk in the light of this truth. Meditate on it until it becomes part of your knowings, your non-negotiables. Let it transform how you think, speak, and respond to fear, sickness, and limitation. Christ did not manage death. He dismantled it. You are unkillable.
