One of the reasons some Christians don't experience the manifestation of God's glory in their lives, as they should, is that they often treat their time of fellowship with the Lord casually. They are often busy and are full of distractions and they are unable to concentrate and hear what God has to say!
Prayer isn't a time of religious monologue where you just talk and talk until your mind wanders away. It should be a time of fellowship where your spirit communes with the Holy Spirit, so much so that your very being is in sync with His laid-out plan for your life.
Today, remove all distractions and learn to set aside time to be with your Creator. Read your Bible and Pray more so that your rank in the Spirit increases.
