It is easy to focus on actions and appearances, especially in a generation shaped by visibility and validation. Many young people do the right things but for the wrong reasons, seeking approval, attention, or recognition. God, however, looks deeper than behavior. He examines the heart and weighs motives.

Motives determine the direction and impact of your life. Two people can do the same thing, but only one may be pleasing to God. When your motives are pure, your actions carry lasting fruit. When motives are mixed, even good actions can lead to frustration or pride. Checking your motives means regularly asking yourself why you are doing this. Is it to please God or to impress people?

God desires sincerity, humility, and obedience from the heart. When your motives are aligned with His will, your life becomes focused, effective, and pleasing to Him.
