In the new testament, asking God for forgiveness is like asking Him to save you. You receive forgiveness, you don’t ask for it because the blood of Jesus was shed for the remission of your sins. Our opening scripture says if we walk in the light (the Word) as He is in the light, the blood of Jesus automatically cleanses us from all sin.
When you keep asking God for what He’s already done for you, you don’t apply your faith; You are to receive forgiveness as an act of faith. Refuse to be sin conscious because you’ve already been washed from your sins. In the eyes of the Lord, you stand holy, unblameable and unreproveable (Colossians 1:21-22).
You’re the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus; think and live righteousness. If you do something wrong, simply say “Lord I’m sorry for what I did; I receive forgiveness in Jesus name.
